# False positive: v1.6.21 kotlin-util-io detected as virus by MS Defender

Today MS Defender started to block access to kotlin-util-io v1.6.21, e.g. when trying to download from [mvnrepository.com](http://mvnrepository.com). Other versions (e.g. v1.6.20) work fine.  
I’ve tested this behaviour on MS Defender protected Win10 and Win11 with Chrome. Another Win10 machine with McAfee does not complain.

Please investigate…

Update: it looks like this was an MS Defender false positive. Since today everything is working fine.
