Gallia bindings for Kotlin (Scala data transformation library)

Hi all,

I recently published an article in Towards Data Science (Gallia: A Library for Data Transformation | by Anthony Cros | Towards Data Science) describing Gallia, my personal library for data transformations written in Scala.

I actually considered writing it in Kotlin initially, but decided against it because of my limited experience with the language vs Scala. With that said I’d really like to offer a Kotlin interface at some point (as well as Java one). I’d likely keep the core written in Scala and simply offer bindings, at least initially.

At this point I’d just like to gauge the interest of the Kotlin community in such an endeavor. Considering the fact that “practicality” is listed as Gallia’s number 1 goal, it’d feel like a natural fit for Kotlin.

Thanks!

Anthony
