Can't access class 'XXX marked with @JsModule annotation from non-modular project

I try to convert my multi-module / multi-platform project to the “new” project and Gradle plugin model described at: https://kotlinlang.org/docs/reference/building-mpp-with-gradle.html#setting-up-a-multiplatform-project

When converting my JS library project I get the following error each time I reference an external declaration:

Can’t access class 'XXX marked with @JsModule annotation from non-modular project

What does “non-modular project” mean and how can I avoid this error?

During experimenting with the project setup I got

This new plugin model seems very unstable :frowning:
Besides, there aren’t any non-trivial examples, eg. how compileKotlin2Js/kotlinOptions can be specified…

Can you please set the moduleKind property in your Gradle build, this should help: https://kotlinlang.org/docs/reference/js-modules.html#from-gradle
